Statement on Community Relations

Ventures in Community (“VIC”)

Route One Corridor, Fairfax County

Statement on Community Relations

Working together for more than 40 years to build a cohesive and supportive community by collaborating in service to those in need, the members of Ventures in Community (“VIC”), representing faith-based, non-profit, and Fairfax County leaders in the Mount Vernon – Lee neighborhoods, reaffirm our commitment to respect and encourage unity in diversity – of race, ethnicity, culture, definitions, faith and worship, economic status, education, household structure, gender, age, or viewpoint.

Diversity in our community is a strength. The variations of attitudes, backgrounds, needs, strengths, and resources enable us to learn from one another, to increase in understanding and wisdom, to give and to receive, and to form relationships based on respect, trust, and mutual benefit. From time to time, there may be social and/or political rhetoric that leads to division and worry. At such times, we as a community demonstrate by our attitudes and actions that we continue to show respect, friendship, and trust.

VIC members will continue to reassure viagra for sale everyone of our respect and care, and encourage people of all walks of life, of all organizations, and of all circumstances to establish safe and respectful neighborhoods together, thereby cultivating hope, resilience, and increased peace and security within the Route One Corridor. We offer these values as a model for all communities, for institutional as well as individual attitudes and behaviors.
