Resume tips (2)Join us for training and orientation for a new volunteer opportunity November 12th. During hypothermia season, we’ll see many new shelter residents who are normally resistant to seeking help, but come inside to escape the cold. We need you to help us connect as many of the new residents as possible to services and build new connections. Case aides will work closely with individual residents by providing information on community resources and services, help them in filling out paperwork, and assisting with housing and job searches. Volunteers will play an essential role in helping shelter residents end their homelessness.

Case aides will work closely with case managers. They should be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that is resident-centered. Case aides also need to be able to communicate effectively with others and work well on a team.

RSVP to attend training and orientation by e-mailing Nicole Dillon at or calling 703-799-2293 x.22

You must be 18 years of age or older.
